Satyr race in WoW

The satyrs are one of these creatures that came to World of Warcraft from the Greek mythology. In WoW satyrs were elves in the past and were transformed by the demons into tall creatures covered with hair. These corrupted creatures continue to fight the Alliance and the Horde from the side of the Burning Legion.

In time other races joined the satyrs with the use of the powerful magic called the shadow curse. Most of them live in Felwood and are dangerous because of their magical abilities. They are hostile towards the other races. Also they don’t have an organized society and organize themselves into small groups called sects. Satyrs from sects form even smaller groups and usually terrorize other creatures that they can find on their paths. They are very cruel and prefer to torment their victims. They are very fast and agile and it’s best to avoid these evil creatures. Also they usually do not use common tactics and lack honor. They prefer not to attack their enemies directly and practice physical and psychological torture.

Satyrs live in small encampments or in the ruins of other cities. They usually gather around corrupted moonwells. It is known that these moonwells possess the ability to transform other creatures in satyrs.
