Centaurs in WoW

The centaurs are unusual creatures that are common for ancient myths and legends and in World of Warcraft they’ve became one of the races and unfortunately, it isn’t a playable race. Theses half-horses half-men are savage and fierce and live in a tribal society.

The centaurs are tall creatures with human upper body and horse legs. They are nomadic people who are similar to Mongolian tribes both with their looks and their culture. Even their villages look a lot like the yurts – Mongolian houses. Each tribe is ruled by the khan – the most powerful and intelligent of the local centaurs. Another interesting fact is that in the centaur tribe females take the roles of the shamans.

Overall they are not as cultured or intelligent like other races (like nerubians for example), but they are good warriors and are quite dangerous in battle. There are a total of five centaur tribes and each of them has its own color. And usually the centaurs are hostile towards the player so if you aren’t sure about your abilities, the centaur mobs should be avoided. In World of Warcraft you have a chance to meet lone centaurs, centaurs in groups of two or five warriors or sometimes there’s a possibility to meet the whole tribe.
